Welcome to the latest edition of the HS Trail News. A warm welcome to the many new members who have joined us this week, we are so excited that you’ve joined us. Please be sure and let Doug or I know if you have any questions.
There are some new features at HitSafari.. They have come directly from your responses in the last newsletter to what you’d like to see at HS that would make it more user friendly.
The surf bar now tells you how many unassigned credits you have.. no need to login to check. And it also shows how many members are currently surfing.
Inside.. you can now convert your banner impressions back to credits.
A new navigation menu will hopefully be installed next week.. It is being worked on now along with a couple of surprises.
Thanks again for all your input.. please feel free at all times to submit your ideas or suggestions.
~Questions and Answers
The following Q and A’s come directly from the HitSafari FAQ page. If I had a dime for every email I got that contained one of these questions…
Questions are good things.. It’s the way we learn new things.. and I understand that members, especially new members, will have them.
That is why we have FAQ pages.. to provide you with the answers to your questions immediately.. no waiting for an Admin response no matter how fast it comes.
In HitSafari, like any program, the FAQ section is put there for your benefit. Please make use of it by making it your first resource when you have a question.
1) How do I assign credits?
Credits that are earned from surfing are automatically applied to your active urls unless you have switched the auto-assign (which is found on the MANAGE URLS page) off. Credits that are won, transferred credits and purchased credits all need to be manually assigned. To do this, go to the MANAGE URLS page. Each url that you have listed will also have an assign button. When you click on the assign button you can then specify how many credits you want to assign to that particular url. (provided you have credits to assign)
2) What is auto-assigning?
Auto assigning means simply that the credits that you have earned by surfing and from your referrals are automatically applied to the url(s) that you have listed.
3) What does it mean that auto-assigning is on or off?
We give you the option to automatically have credits assigned or not. Some people prefer to stockpile their credits till they have a certain number or until a certain time. Or to use to trade for banner advertising. By turning OFF auto-assign, your credits will accumulate and not be used unless assigned by you. To manually assign credits, click on the assign button found under your url.
PLEASE NOTE: Bonus credits, purchased credits and credits that have been transferred to you by another member must always be manually assigned.
———
The auto-assigning issue comes up often especially when traffic is moving quickly. Many times, if you have auto-assign turned on, your credits may be used as quickly as you earn them. You are still earning the credits while you surf, they just won’t be reflected in your total credit number.
~50 on 5
Every week each member who has surfed at least 50 times on 5 separate days of the week, Monday - Sunday, is entered into a
drawing. 5 members are chosen randomly and are awarded credits.
Prizes are credits in the amounts of:
500, 400, 300, 200, or 100.
When we have over 200 surfers who qualify, prizes are increased by 50%.
