~Major Announcement
Starting immediately, HitSafari will be going to a 10 second timer!
I was one of the last hold outs at 20 seconds and still believe that there are pros and cons to both the shorter and longer timer, but for the time being we will be at 10 seconds.
Of course a close eye will be kept on traffic delivery and quality and if any adjustments need to be made, we will make them.

Yes Hi,
10 Seconds are just “modern” in modern Internet times - everybody is in a rush … I think it is OK.
Hey Paula.
Great choice in my opinion. All the more reason to surf one of the best.
I would prefer 15 seconds. Call me weird if you will!!
Though many people like the 10 second timer, many pages take a little longer to load. I think 10 seconds is fine since we all are in a hurry these days to do our advertising.
Peace,
Leon
Hi Paula,
Think the 10 second timer is great, not too short to have your site viewed, yet not slow enough to become boring. More reasons for members to use quick loading splash pages that make an impression quickly.
No matter how long the timer, seems if a page is slow to load, people just want to click away from it as soon as possible anyway.
IMHO, great move! Love Hit Safari..as always.
Hi Paula, fantastic move!
You know how much I love Hit Safari cos I keep spending as much as I can here but this will do wonders I think.
I’ll bet you, oh a whole 100 credits, that you get a huge increase in activity
Advertisers get maybe three seconds to grab the surfers attention. Anything above 10 seconds these days is, I feel, going to hinder the exchange by reducing activity and therefore response.
Still, thats just my lil ole opinion. Each to their own.
Happy Splashing and Safari’ing!
Paul
Hello Paula;
Yes there are pro’s and con’s with the timer settings. I personally feel if a person is actually looking at the sites in rotation it shouldn’t matter much… But, that is just me…
Time will tell and of coarse, I know you guys will stay on top of the traffic delivery rates, as always.
Take Care,
Phil
Traffic Exchange Exposed
Hi Paula
Just a quick hi and congratulations on all your efforts to
make it interesting, challenging and different to surf on
HS. There are times when we are all so busy trying to
do whatever, that we forget to take the time just to say
Thank You or Well Done to people like you, working your
socks off not just for your business to succeed, but trying
your best to look after your extended ‘family’.
Keep up the good work…..change on the timer should
work well, especially because we are nearly all on multi-tab
browsers anyway.
Peace and love
Syd Burke
PS: Did we congratulate you on the design/layout changes?
Colourful, neat, eye-catching are the words that come to mind.
I think 10 seconds is just fine that’s for such a fine traffic exchange!
10 seconds may be great from the surfers point of view, but I doubt that anyone that wants their site viewed in earnest will be pleased. Longer duration promotes reading which is what advertisers want.
Shorter duration creates indifference and defeats the entire purpose of the traffic exchange system.
Yes, some pages take longer to load.
Yes, longer duration is boring.
Yes, I want people to read my website, don’t you?
